Creative Cloud for us who work offline

My team also needs an offline version of Creative Cloud. I work at a medium to large market radio station, and we have about twenty editing machines running Audition CS6. About half of those have to be offline for security reasons. The most often they can be online is around once a year, not every 90 days. Now that Adobe is moving to Creative Cloud, our engineers are currently working to switch ALL of our machines to another product (i.e. one of your competitors). We can't have half on one kind of software and half on another, as our journalists, hosts, engineers, producers, and operators all switch between machines daily for our work.

You may or may not know this, but much of the content you hear every day on the radio or in podcasts has been edited using Adobe Audition. At least, that's how it's been up until CC. Now, many content producers are having to switch to alternatives because of similar concerns as we have. Over the next couple years, each time you turn on the radio, listen for the quality of audio content to dip as producers are learning to get the hang of alternative editing suites like Hindenburg, Reaper, or even Audacity. Look online and you'll see people talk about why they saw the need to switch to alternatives because of the limits of Creative Cloud.

As you can imagine, having to find another software solution is hugely disappointing for our entire staff, and I'm sure other teams as well. It should also be disappointing to Adobe, because 1. that is a lot of money you are losing, and 2. we are only one station. Multiply our twenty machines by however many stations could be using Adobe but can't for the same reason, and you understand the significant loss in your revenue. I can learn to use Hindenburg, but you can't learn to charge me for it.

Suffice to say, Adobe will be missing out on our business as well as the business of other stations like ours unless you can come up with a way to charge us when some of our machines will be online only 1 day a year. Our engineers say you will not work with us to come up with a solution. I am hoping that's not true.

So, if you can find a way to forward our concerns to the right people who can begin working on a solution to meet our needs, I will thank you, my team will thank you, Adobe will thank you, and you will be our forever friend. Thank you!
