Disable CCD Updates

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I'm not familiar with the forum UI/structure and didn't immediately see an answer to my issue in the FAQs. I have a small [ACC 2017 device licensed] deployment and it is my understanding that updating the ACC applications [through CCD or otherwise] may lead to a scenario whereby the [ACC] suite is updated to 2018 [2019?], which has a different [incompatible] licensing model that would require purchasing new licenses ahead of the next [scheduled] renewal cycle, so I would like to know how I can disable updates through CCD or any other updating mechanisms. I came across this knowledgebase article:

- Disable updates and Apps panel for the Creative Cloud products

however, it appears to address disabling [legacy/standalone] "non-CCD updater" mechanisms.

While the ACC package was originally packaged using the [ACC] "packager", updates were not disabled by default [my bad] and I would prefer to manually disable [CCD] updates versus having to uninstall the suite and then create/deploy a new package, so if there is a way to manually disable [CCD] update functionality and someone can provide instructions on how to do that, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Bob
