discontinued license

New Here ,

Hi, I had bought an Adobe license via SRT; that company went out of business apparently and Adobe continued to provide me access to the Adobe apps for a while. Now it has stopped. My license was good until Februaru next year. It is impossible to reach anybody at Adobe, so I turn to this forum. Can anybody help?

Hi @Paula24795648a4pc,

Thanks for reaching out. I’ve checked and can see that there are two active Teams contracts associated with the Adobe ID you used to post this query.

You’re unable to use the licenses because there’s a payment issue with one of the contracts, which includes your Adobe apps subscription. Could you please confirm whether this contract is linked to the company you mentioned has gone out of business?

I recommend contacting your administrator for assistance, as they’ll be able to resolve this for you. You can refer to this document on how to identify and contact your admin:
https://adobe.ly/4fL1t93

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further support.

Regards,
^AN

Dear Anshul,

Many thanks for your fast response, I appreciate that.
The thing is, I can't even log in into my account anymore, so I can't see
who is out there and whether or not SRT is associated with that account. As
a consequence I am completely cut off.

I think I have to regard my license as 'lost', unless you can think of
something clever?

Many thanks,

Kind regards
Paula

Dear Bani,

Thanks for reaching out to me. Alas, nothing has changed.
It is very unfortunate. I am not a heavy user of Adobe apps but need to
practise my skills so I stay attractive for employers.
Any help is welcome.

Kind regards
Paula

Dear Bani,

Earlier this year, I purchased an Adobe license from a company called SRT.
They trade in what they called 'surplus licenses'. It was cheap, but we, as
users, had to switch profiles every few weeks (sometimes even after a few
days). SRT would let us know when it was time to switch profiles.
Occasionally, there was a gap of a few days that we didn't have access to
the Adobe apps. Then at some point SRT could not be reached and had
apparently gone out of business? At that point, it seems Adobe took over
and provided us with the same service as SRT; again I was told when to log
out and log in into another profile. That worked, until it stopped a few
weeks ago.

So, when I try to log in to my account, I am asked which profile I would
like to use, but all profiles are inactive. Effectively, I am shut out.
Does this make any sense to you?

Your colleague Anshul tried to help me the other day, and noticed there
were billing issues, maybe with SRT? That is as far as we got.

I don't mind using surplus licenses and switching profiles every now and
then, as long as I can keep practising Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
for a little while longer.

Many thanks Bani

Kind regards
Paula

Hi Paula,

Yes, I have also looked over your account, and there seems to be a payment issue for which you need to contact your Administrator or Contract owner. If they are cancelling the subscription and you wish to still use Adobe apps for learning, then the other option is to purchase a subscription for yourself; see: https://adobe.ly/474PTTR.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
^BS

Thanks Bani,

Since there is no administrator (out of business), it seems I've lost my
license.
That sucks. Not your fault Bani!

Thanks for clarifying the issue. Right now, I can't afford another license.

Kind regards
Paula

LATEST

SRT sounds like a scam.  are they on the list of authorized resellers?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
