Having problems installing AUSST. It keeps exiting with Code 3 (Could not create Folder).

I am trying to set up AUSST on a Windows server but it keeps failing with exit code 3. I have tried setting up IIS7 and Apache2.4 and have given all users full control of the folders. If I create the update folder before running the command then it recognises the folder is there and asks if it is OK to delete it. The folder then disappears but the command fails to create the new folder. I have tried running the Command Prompt as Administrator and with my normal admin account but I get the same message.

This gives instructions for setting up an IIS server and includes a Troubleshooting section.

I followed that guide while setting it up. The only thing it says regarding my issue is to make sure the folder has write permissions. I gave everyone write permissions and got the same error message.

I ended up setting it up on an old Apple XServe and it worked straight away. I can only assume it did not like being done on Windows 10.

the --root="..... couldnt be "/Adobe/...etc"   needed to be --root="c:/Adobe...

An old thread, but still the first search result on Google.

FYI I had to stop the IIS website I'd created to host the updates, before it would continue - otherwise I had the same error 3 about folder permissions.
