Question

How to Silently uninstall Acrobat 2015 using command line and either AcroReaderTool or Acrobat Uninstaller on a Mac

I have both the AcroCleaner tool and the built in Acrobat Uninstaller tool for Acrobat 2015 installed on a mac.

I can, Of course, manually run each of these tools but I want to run a silent Uninstall from the command line.  there doesnt seem to be any relevant documentation on how to pass parameters to either of these applications or indeed, what those parameters are.

I have searched and googled and looked at the forums etc with no definitive answers for these specific tools.

the command line options for Acrobat Pro X etc or CC do not seem to work

Any help would be most appreciated.

Does the cmd line example here provide any help? Macintosh Deployments — Enterprise Administration Guide

$ sudo "/Applications/Adobe Acrobat (version) Pro/Adobe Acrobat Pro.app/Contents/Support/Acrobat

Uninstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/RemoverTool" "/Applications/Adobe Acrobat (version) Pro/Adobe Acrobat

Pro.app/Contents/Support/Acrobat Uninstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/RemoverTool"

"/Applications/Adobe Acrobat (version) Pro/Adobe Acrobat Pro.app"

I wish it did..

this is the entry I use for Acrobat 2015

sudo "/Applications/Adobe Acrobat 2015/Adobe Acrobat.app/Contents/Helpers/Acrobat Uninstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/Acrobat Uninstaller" "/Applications/Adobe Acrobat 2015/Adobe Acrobat.app/Contents/Helpers/Acrobat Uninstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/Acrobat Uninstaller" "/Applications/Adobe Acrobat 2015/Adobe Acrobat.app"

What that does is to pull up the uninstaller window and it sits there waiting for me to click on Adobe Acrobat to highlight it and then I have to click Open to carry on.. If I just highlight Adobe Acrobat in that window , terminal shows.....

objc[49301]: Class FIFinderSyncExtensionHost is implemented in both /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/FinderKit.framework/Versions/A/FinderKit (0x7fff8ad1fc90) and /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/FileProvider.framework/OverrideBundles/FinderSyncCollaborationFileProviderOverride.bundle/Contents/MacOS/FinderSyncCollaborationFileProviderOverride (0x10f634cd8). One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

So something is not being passed to the Uninstaller correctly..
