Hi Team

We have been buying licenses through Adobe VIP program last 10 years, few of our users are in other location adn it is been stating that those licenses are not valid or they should not use in other geo location which comes as compliance ?

Our head office is in India, we have few locations in USA where in 80% of license are used in India and 20% are outside.

We have been now asking us to move to high cost enterprise edition under agreement which we are interested.

We would like to know buying in India doesnt have rights to use other regions when my major work force is in India only ?

Hi @vijayk74867948,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concern.

Under the Adobe Value Incentive Plan (VIP), licenses are intended to be used within the same geographic region in which they are purchased. If your VIP agreement is based in India, the associated licenses are expected to be assigned to users located within the South Asia region. Assigning licenses to users outside this region—such as in the United States—may lead to non-compliance with Adobe's regional licensing pol

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Assigning licenses to users outside this region—such as in the United States—may lead to non-compliance with Adobe's regional licensing policies. You can refer to the official terms here:
https://adobe.ly/46d45JQ

Adobe does allow temporary or occasional use of licenses outside the purchase region (for example, during travel or short-term assignments), but it does not permit long-term or permanent deployment in a different geography. Please see the following FAQ for more details:
https://adobe.ly/3HYgwiR

This is likely why you’ve been advised to consider transitioning to an Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA), which is designed to support multi-geo deployments and offers greater administrative and compliance flexibility for organizations with a distributed workforce.

Given that the majority of your users are based in India, we recommend discussing your deployment model with your Adobe account manager or reseller. They will be able to assess your licensing needs and advise on the most suitable solution for your organization.

Let us know if you need further assistance. We're here to help.

Regards,

^AN
