Large Corporation IT Prohibits CC Library Syncing?

New Here ,
Jun 28, 2016 Jun 28, 2016

I work for a large institution that typically locks down most program updates until they are ready to deploy them

and I'm thinking they may have locked down access to my CC connection/sync.

The issue I am having is:

- Sync settings are not active

- Library items are not linked anymore and I am not able to use my library icon assets

I am able to login to CC but am not able to update to the latest version because IT has the update settings disabled.

We are currently running CC 2015 and this is the first I have tried to use my library since the new software release.

Is there a way for me to know if I've been locked out or if it is another issue that needs to be tested?

Can you access libraries and other assets via the Creative Cloud Desktop App?

Go to Assets>Creative Cloud>View on Web.

You can ask your IT team if they can allow access to the endpoints noted in this document.

As you correctly surmise, IT admin has the ability to lock updates within CC apps. It may be that a required update is being blocked. Please ask them to push the updates to you.

Hi alisterblack,

Thank you for your response!

Yes, I am able to access my icon library via:

Assets>Creative Cloud>View on Web

That I am able to access this, what does this mean?

Was this a test for something?

I'm not too sure how much luck I'll have exploring this issue

with IT (unfortunately), but the least I can do is try; the first big step

will be finding out who to even call.  I was horribly disappointed when

I realized that access may have been cut off. It's good to know that IT

does have this capability so I don't waste oodles of time trying to figure

out if I am doing something incorrectly.

Hi,

Just a test to see what was being blocked. Hope your IT admin can help!
