(Mac CCP) Updating existing packages stalls at 4%

I decided this morning to update my Adobe CC deployment using CPP on a Mac. I tried twice both times it stalled at 4%.  So I cleared the cache and had the same problem. The only error I could see in the logs was "Handshakewithclient failed!". so I decided to build a new installer which was successfull. My question is, is it worth the bother to update an installer, or am I better creating a new one anyway?
