We’re excited to highlight a flexible deployment feature for educational institutions using Shared Device Licensing (SDL): License-Only Package. This option allows you to assign a Shared Device License to lab or classroom computers without reinstalling Creative Cloud apps.

Key Benefits:

  • No reinstallation needed – Apply licenses to existing Adobe apps.

  • Fast deployment – Streamlines the license activation process.

  • Cross-platform support – Available for both Windows and macOS (Intel, Apple Silicon, and Universal builds).

  • Efficient lab setup – Ideal for refreshing lab machines at the beginning of a semester or academic year.

How to Create a License-Only Package:

  1. Go to Admin Console > Packages > Packages.
  2. Select Create a Package.
  3. Select Shared Device Licensing, then Select Next.
  4. Skip app selection by selecting Next on the Choose Apps screen.
  5. Continue through the remaining screens and finalize your package.

For a step-by-step guide, visit our documentation: Create Shared Device Licensing packages.
