Team changing licensing groups

Hello,

I have a team that was under one licensing agreement for Creative Cloud. The company was acquired under another company and they want all of the users to use their licensing. Company A will be using Company B licensing.

Couple of questions:

Can a user change Creative Cloud licensing to from Company A to Company B? I was thinking I would just send an invite to the current user from Company A however I am worried that they will lose all of their work. I don't want them to start all over.

Is there a way to migrate accounts across licensing groups to retain data? Move user from Company A to an account on Company B?

What is the best way to do this or is this a non-issue.

Thanks for the help,

Robert

    Hi,

    An important point here is what kind of license you have. If you have a Creative Cloud for Teams license you will be using Adobe ID as your identity type. If you have a Creative Cloud for Enterprise agreement then you have a wider choice.

    For Creative Cloud for Enterprise there are three identity types that can be used. These are Adobe ID, Enterprise ID and Federated ID.

    Manage identity types in Adobe enterprise offerings

    Each of these accounts are separate. So if you are moving between identity types then you will lose storage. If however you are moving from Adobe ID to Adobe ID you will not.

    You can always back up items from cloud storage and restore them if needed. This document explains how to migrate if you are changing identity types - Migrate assets using Adobe Creative Cloud

    Also would like to add that the users will still reatin their emails for logging in.

    So is the cloud storage Email based or Licensing based.

    Example

    User  JoeAdobe@company.com

    Licensing = Company A

    CloudFile = doc100.txt

    Same user under new licensing

    User  JoeAdobe@company.com

    Licensing = Company B

    CloudFile = doc100.txt

    Will the txt file doc100.txt still be there?

    Thanks
