The virtual app-v package suddenly asks for a serial number precisely after 8 months. The package has not been modified.

Seems like this issue: Acrobat XI opens in trial mode or shows serial number screen even though you are a subscriber

Strange to note is that a local installation with the same serial number on a desktop seems to work ok...

The serial has been checked, and its OK.

Does someone know the right steps to take to get the software working again?
