Unable to access Adobe account

Hi one of our users is locked out of their Adobe account which they have stored cloud data in that they need to retrieve, unfortunately they log in with an email address that no longer exists at its host, the email address was once a Gmail business address using a custom domain.

 

When logging into Adobe it redirects them to Google to login but this just states the account no longer exists. This is expected I suppose but there isn't any option to recover access to the Adobe account or unlink it from Google, the only option is to reset the password but this is no use as it sends a verfication code to the email address that doesnt exist...

 

I've been on the phone ad web chats with Adobe support for a fair few hours today and have not made an progress in recovering the account, has anyone managed to resolve the same issue? Thanks.
