How to leave your organization-owned Adobe account?

If you are using an Adobe ID (a personal account created and managed by you), you can leave the organization by signing in at https://account.adobe.com/profile. The option to leave the organization is only visible if your license is assigned to an Adobe ID.

If your account is a managed account—using an Enterprise ID or Federated ID—you cannot remove yourself. In this case, you must contact your administrator to request removal from the organization. To learn more about identity types, refer to https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/identity.html.

For steps on how to contact your administrator, please visit: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/contact-administrator.html.

If you hold any administrative roles within the Adobe Admin Console, you will need to transfer or revoke these roles before leaving the organization:

Before leaving the organization, ensure you make a local backup of all files, photos, videos, and projects stored with Adobe. Once your account is removed, your access to apps and services provided by the organization will be revoked, and the apps may display try/buy prompts. For guidance on how to transfer your assets, refer to: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/transfer-assets.html.

If you wish to delete your Adobe account after leaving the organization, you can follow the steps provided here: https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/delete-adobe-account.html. You may also refer to this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/leave-organization.html.

Please note: If your organization’s only administrator or contract owner has left and you no longer have access to the Admin Console, you will need to contact Adobe Support to request a transfer of admin rights.  Alternatively, you can respond to this post to receive further assistance.

Thank you. Please post here if you have any questions related to this query.

i've gone back and forth through email and over the phone 3x with adobe...here's the rub:

ultimately, i wish to delete my adobe account and everything associated with it, but since i'm a part of a company i have to leave said company. i get to the "you've left the company and the administrator as been notified" message, but i do not receive a message or notification, since i am the only admin of the co.

so i am stuck in a prompt loop of leave the company > you've left the company > delete adobe account > you must leave the company to delete your account.

anyone have any REAL actual advice??? thank you in advance. screenshots for context

I'm not 100% certain you can delete your account as the sole admin for the company. You would need to assign another user as the admin first, then demote yourself from an admin position allowing you to remove the account.

how does one do that if there are no other ppl to assign? as global admin why wouldn't that allow you the "right" to leave/delete org, and then delete account?

I have the same issue (no "leave organization" button). Also, I can't contact the administrator of my organization because there is no "View All" button under My Plan (please see attached photo below) . Is there any other wayu? or can Adobe Support remove me from my organization?

Hi,

Currently, the Leave Organization option is not available for managed or company owned accounts.

However, you can ask your administrator to remove you from the organization.

Here's how you can contact your administrator: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/contact-administrator.html

your plan administrator controls who has (and who does not have) licenses.  ie, contact your plan administrator.

Hi,

I'm trying to permanently delete my Adobe Account.
From my privacy page, I'm starting the process following the Adobe instructions (https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/delete-adobe-account.html).

When I get to step 5, I'm asked to leave a deleted organization (Name-Deleted-Org).
The problem is when I do so, Adobe is informing me that I left this organization and I do not receive any e-mail confirmation.

Then I'm stucked to this step and cannot go further.

Has anyone got this issue as well ?
How can I proceed with my account deletion ? (I would love to get in touch with a human from Adobe support, but I can't find a clear path to do so.)

click contact us (in the lower right)
in the chat field, type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human
