How to leave your organization-owned Adobe account?
If you are using an Adobe ID (a personal account created and managed by you), you can leave the organization by signing in at https://account.adobe.com/profile. The option to leave the organization is only visible if your license is assigned to an Adobe ID.
If your account is a managed account—using an Enterprise ID or Federated ID—you cannot remove yourself. In this case, you must contact your administrator to request removal from the organization. To learn more about identity types, refer to https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/identity.html.
For steps on how to contact your administrator, please visit: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/contact-administrator.html.
If you hold any administrative roles within the Adobe Admin Console, you will need to transfer or revoke these roles before leaving the organization:
- If you are the contract owner, you can transfer your role to another system administrator by following: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/change-contract-owner.html.
- If you are a system, product, product profile, or user group administrator, you can either contact another system administrator to revoke your access (https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/contact-administrator.html), or you can add another administrator to the same role. Once they accept the invitation, ask them to remove your administrative access: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/admin-roles.html#Editenterpriseadminrole.
- If you are a deployment, support, or storage administrator, please contact your system administrator for role removal.
Before leaving the organization, ensure you make a local backup of all files, photos, videos, and projects stored with Adobe. Once your account is removed, your access to apps and services provided by the organization will be revoked, and the apps may display try/buy prompts. For guidance on how to transfer your assets, refer to: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/kb/transfer-assets.html.
If you wish to delete your Adobe account after leaving the organization, you can follow the steps provided here: https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/delete-adobe-account.html. You may also refer to this article: https://helpx.adobe.com/enterprise/using/leave-organization.html.
Please note: If your organization’s only administrator or contract owner has left and you no longer have access to the Admin Console, you will need to contact Adobe Support to request a transfer of admin rights. Alternatively, you can respond to this post to receive further assistance.
Thank you. Please post here if you have any questions related to this query.
