Question

Unable to launch Adobe InDesign as you lack sufficient permissions

Hi,

We are a school attempting to deploy the latest Adobe Suite. I built it last week using Cloud Packager and have installed it successfully on systems, but am receiving the following messages when attempting to open InDesign:

The specified path is invalid.

And then after clicking ok:

Unable to launch Adobe InDesign as you lack sufficient permissions to access the preferences folders.  Ensure that you have appropriate permissions and then restart Adobe InDesign.

We also receive Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the current menus.xml file.  Please delete the current menus.xml file and rename menus.bak to menus.xml.

These are fresh installs - and as an Adminstrator I can open both programs, but both staff and students cannot.  What folders do I need to add write permissions to, so that we can access these programs?

Best wishes,

Further details. We're on Windows 10.  The currently logged in user has access to write to AppData in C:\users\<profile>\AppData

Is there an Adobe folder in %appdata% ? What is in it if so?

Bumping this. We'd love some help on this one from an Adobe expert but can't seem to start a Chat or find an e-mail address and are sent back to the Community Forums each time.

    Thanks.
