Unable to reach adobe servers, check Firewall and Time Zone settings.

I'm trying download the adobe apps, and this message pops up...

'Unable to reach adobe servers, check firewall and time zone settings' pops up on the Creative Cloud brower.

I've turned off Firewall and my Timezone settings is correct. And I've looked online and I couldn't find any solutions!

I can't uninstall the app to reset it as it says 'Can't uninstall as you currently have apps that need the Creative Cloud' which I understand as I do have Adobe XD installed. So was wondering if anyone has actually solved this??

I need to know asap as I'm doing a job for an agency, and theres not much Adobe support help lines.

Also I see some people on this forum, linking people  to 'Direct Download of apps pages'.. but I can't do that, as the agency I'm working for has added me to their Adobe teams account, and I need to only access the apps to be on this company licence, so I have to download the apps via Creative Cloud only.

Hello,

I would recommend checking the internet settings if any proxy is set, check the host file to confirm if any Adobe endpoints are blocked and finally change the network (connect to an external/open network) to confirm if any of the Adobe network endpoints are blocked on the firewall/network. Sometimes, the security tool also blocks the application to connect to Adobe servers.

Hey! 🙂

Thanks for those suggestions! Unfortunatley I'm not a tech savy person 😞 So I have some questions below:

-  On the this 'proxy' list, everything was unchecked... assuming that's fine and is not blocking any Adobe endpoints then.
- Not exactly sure what connecting to an external open network means? I googled that but assuming you mean connect to another wifi network? or?
- And also not sure where the 'securtiy tool' is? I know to unlock the lock icon when I need to download secure things from the internet, which is under Security & Privacy in System Preferences.. but that's it.

Hi,

I had this exact error when trying to install Acrobat Pro. None of the proxy items were checked, timezone is correct, nothing blocked anywhere, but it still wouldn't install. My eventual solution was simply to add the website *adobe.com (the asterisk is a wildcard to allow for any prefix for the various parts of the Adobe website) to the list of exceptions in my Firewall - I use TotalAV but I'm sure something similar should work in any of the usual apps. It worked!

Hope this is helpful.

Best wishes to you all

Hi @OldNerd50s,

Thank you for sharing this helpful workaround and for contributing to the community. We're glad to hear that adding *.adobe.com to your firewall exceptions resolved the issue—this insight could be valuable to others facing similar installation problems. Much appreciated!

Regards,
^AN
