Why am I seeing license expiring notifications?

If you are seeing notifications like these about your license expiring, read on to find more about it:

Your Adobe Acrobat license expires on 1/12/2020. Please contact your administrator to continue using Acrobat without disruption.

Historically, Adobe issued serial numbers with our apps (i.e. Creative Suite, Creative Cloud for enterprise, Acrobat XI, Acrobat DC) to customers on Enterprise Term License Agreements (ETLAs). These serial numbers do have an expiration date. Once the expiration date has passed, the product will no longer work so it is important to plan your migration before your serial numbers expire. Ensure your end users have continued access to their Adobe apps and services.

Learn how to use the AdobeExpiryCheck tool to check if the volume serial numbers have expired or are expiring soon. If they have expired or are expiring soon, it is recommended that you re-serialize with a new serial number.

Hi there
Big question, we had that same message, now we created an update package and added a new serial key to it.
If we check now with the ExpiryCheck tool we see the one that will expire on 20201201, but also the new one wit hdate 20211130...
So for general understanding you should think everything is fine.
But what suprise us is, that the message still apears for the users.

Does the Adobe Acrobat Pro change automatically to the new one after the old is expired or do we need to completly reinstall the package with the new key?

Thanks

Hi Daniel5C67,

Greetings of the day!!!

As per your query, I can see that you have re-serialized with the Acrobat 12.1 Continous version.

The previous key that is showcasing the expiry date of 2020-12-01 is for Acrobat 17.

If you have re-serialized to the latest serial key and not removed the older key from the system you are likely to receive a pop-up message for expiration.

No, Adobe Acrobat Pro does not change once the serial key is expired you would need to go ahead and manually uninstall the application and then install the latest version or the version that you are entitled to.

If you have any further query kindly let us know.

Thanks
