Running Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe or an exe for a specific product gives:

The installer you downloaded won't work on your computer. Error Code: 717

For Windows 10 19043.1288 x64

Took me agessssssssssss to debug. Whole time thinking it'd be ludicrious that IE of all things was causing our build to be incompatible with CC installs. But sure enough, when I lost my sanity after the 30th image build and just isolated IE and put it back on the image, the installer worked.

What part of IE do the exe's rely on? Can it be stubbed out?
Would really rather not have to keep IE active nor re-install all computers.

IE can't be an issue because it's no more supported on Windows.

LTSC is not a supported platform. It is meant for medical tech and power stations, not photos and design. Use regular Windows.

Over 1 Year later and this is still very much an issue, and time is ticking...

Microsoft will push an update to remove the last traces of internet explorer 11 from computers in February 2023.
Will no one be able to install Adobe products after that date?

WTF is Adobe doing?!?! Can anyone respond?

You do not need Internet Explorer to install Adobe products. Indeed, Internet Explorer shouldn't be used anymore, except for in a few corporate installations that did not yet, after many years of preparation, migrate their web applications to a standard browser. Adobe has no product depending on Internet Explorer.

When you install Adobe products, however, you should run that on a supported platform to avoid any configuration related problems with the software.
