Command Line options for Acrobat Cleaner Tool for Mac

Just providing feedback that we'd really like to see CLI options for the Acrobat Cleaner Tool (https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html) for Mac. We've been running into occasional issues after updating to Catalina where some ancient piece of Acrobat is causing it to crash post-Catalina upgrade, and the easiest solution we've found is the Acrobat Cleaner Tool. However, we can't just throw it into Jamf Self Service for our technicians to run since we can't run from the command line. 

 

Please add this, or add documentation for how to do so (if it already exists).

Hello,

The link which you shared above has script towards the end. It contains a sample script for windows, if you want to use it for MAC you will have to customize it. There is no option for silent automated Acrobat Cleaner on MAC only windows.

The following steps provide an optional method to uninstall and deactivate Acrobat. You can also use this process to uninstall even if you are not migrating to NUL.
Download and extract the zip file.
Modify the reference scripts to work in your environment.
Copy the contents to a folder on all machines where uninstall is required.
Run the extracted prtk file with elevated privileges.
Run prepareNudMigration.
The script removes and deactivates Acrobat products without touching other Adobe products.

    Sorry, issue is cleaning up auxillary Acrobat files which Cleaner seems to get, but Creative Cloud cleaner doesn't. We're not really looking to just remove and deactivate Acrobat. In the latest case, there was some 32-bit piece in some Acrobat folder that was crashing acrobat after catalina upgrade. Before the plist I receieved to fix Acrobat licensing on the Mac, Acrobat Cleaner was able to trigger Acrobat to relogin after reinstall (prior it was just doing Unexpected error and quitting). 

    I saw the script. but as you mentioned, you can't pass it any flags via terminal. So it's not something we can automate for technicians. 

     

    Would really like to see a new version of this tool provided that can be scripted.
