Help please! Can anyone tell me the 38 digit product code for Macromedia Fireworks MX 2004? It seems that I can't delete this programme from my computer without the 38 digit product code. Thanks in advance.

By the sound of it, you have a 64-bit OS like Catalina or higher that won't support legacy uninstallers.  Ideally, you should have removed old software from your machine BEFORE upgrading to 64-bit OS.  Manually removing old program files is probably your only option now.

Windows > System Settings > Add/Remove Programs.

What happens when you click on FW > Unistall button?

Assuming your computer User profile has admin level permissions, it should unistall.

Serial numbers are unique identifiers. Only you know what that is.  Nobody here can tell you.

I think it's strange that you're being prompted for a software serial number to UNINSTALL it.

Which operating system do you have?

Can you show us a screenshot?

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for replying. I don't need a serial number, I need a product code. Serial numbers are only 16 digits, I need a 38 digit product code, which is a different thing. That's what the Pro Installer is asking for.

Sorry, I just don't understand what you've written...

sorry... I will say it differently,

well... how did you install this software, did you get a CD rom ?... and where did you get this CD-ROM ?

second, can you open the regedit... go in the windws search field and type regedit, and open the register editor

act with a lot of precaution from there...

double clik on HEKY_CURRENT_USER

once the tree opened, double clik on SOFTWARE... and from there do you have (or find) a MACROMEDIA folder... you should

if not, do you have an ADOBE folder... and if so, does this ADOBE folder contains a FIREWORKS folder.

once this done, clode the register, without saving anything...

answer, Fireworks mx 2004 was released before Adobe acuqire Marcomedia... so in the regsiter, this soft must recorded as Macromedia, that should help us to figure out what the installer done
