2- Using Internet Explorer 9 + Flash Older Version (10,3,162,28)= Flash is OK

3- Using Internet Explorer 8 + Flash Latest Version (11,0,1,152)= Flash is OK

I don't know about "transparent" this or that.  All I can say is after experiencing an IE8 shutdown of websites (FOX News, specifically) that did not occur on other browsers,  and fritzing around trying to find a solution, I deleted the Adobe Flash version 11.  THAT fixed the problem.

Every time I reboot my computer I get a new #@$%^##@ Adobe update download request.  Hey, Adobe, quiet sending out so many downloads and get your act together first.

I had the same problem, I set the wmode to opaque instead and this did the trick.  I realise this won't be a solution in every case.

One important thing that I discovered,

when I turn on the option "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering" ( Internet Options / Advanced ) and restart IE9

    the wmode problem was solved....

    Hi,

I tested it on my sites mentioned above, and yes the problem is gone when the sofware-rendering is used (close and restart IE 9)

But I think this does not solve the problem, but it makes clear were the bug is: in the code for rendering using thr GPU.

And remind: it was OK in version 10.x and now in the new 11-version it goes wrong on GPU-rendering ...

Yes, it´s not the solution for the bug, but now we know where is the "problem"....

On my notebook (Hp Dv7), where i had a NVIDIA graphic card , there is no bug...

and on my desktop (Dell Vostro), where i had a Intel G41  graphic card , i had this bug...

I think there is a conflict between the player 11 and the Intel graphics cards ....

I'm having the same issue here.  So far I've only noticed it happen with IE9 and Flash Player 11.0 64-bit.  The 32-bit version seems OK in IE.

    Hi,

Can you also provide a test url and dxdiag.txt file with system information of your machine?

    Thanks!

Can you send me the dxdiag.txt file of your machine? Below is an instructions on how to save dxdia information

    1) Windows Start ->type dxdiag in the searching problem input area

    2) You will find dxdiag.exe is listed. Just click and open Dxdiag

    3) When dxdia tool finishes loading system information, click on Save All Information button and save to dxdiag.txt file.

    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3968562

We are seeing a problem that background image in some swf file is not shown up when embedded the swf with wmode=transparent.

    October 13, 2011

Would you mind if send me a simple test application or URL that can help reproduce your problem?

    Thanks!
