Flash player for Vista and Opera

Hi !

I got an old PC where only Win Vista 32 bit is supported. As a browser I only found Opera which can be installed. Now I wanted to play online but a flashplayer is missing. So I chose Adobe flash player for Vista and Opera, installed it without a problem but I still can't play. Under "opera://plugins" I did not find the player to activate it although the installation was without problems.

What is wrong ?

Greetings from Germany !

Hi Wulfi. Did you install Opera 36? More recent versions of Opera do not support Vista: Initial Opera developer 37 release - Opera Desktop (Current versions of Mozilla Firefox still support Vista, and that is the browser I would recommend for your system.)

Assuming you have the correct Flash Player PPAPI (current version 23.0.0.207), you might want to look at Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier and more specifically Enable Flash Player for Opera .

    Hi,

Can you please go to control panel -> Flash Player -> updates and share the version and type of flash player installed.

It would be preferred if u share the snapshot.

For opera browser you need PPAPI flash plugin.

    Thanks

Thanks for you answer - but the problem is most probably in my registry. Funny - in a big PC magazin (where I downloaded Opera) they say the current version of Opera and firefox are both compatible with Vista. After new installation of Vista I try your advices. I definitely had the correct version of the flash player, but now I play the game "format c:"
