Safari - Preferences>Security - is "Allow all other plugins" checked?

Firefox - Tools>Add-ons>Plugins - Is Shockwave Flash (11.8.800.94) enabled and "Always Activated"?

Thanks for the reply.  Yes Safari has both 'Allow Java' and 'allow other plug-ins' slected.   Firefox has Flash enabled as well.  It looks like a few other apps that use Flash on my computer are effected as well not just the browsers.  Chrome is the only app that has flash working properly...

Chrome has its own Flash Player Plugin so it works independently of the others.
Go to [User]/Library/Preferences (Hold the "Option" key when clicking "Go" from the Finder menu to access YOUR Library folder.

Trash the Macromedia folder in the Preferences, and empty the trash.

Relaunch either browser and try running a Flash video.
