    I am running Mac OS X 10.4.11

I've uninstalled and reinstalled. NOTHING works. Every time that I get the Flash Player image on my desktop and try to open it it opens in Bridge and then nothing happens.
Nearly every website that I go to tells me I must download the latest version of FLASH. Obviously I'm not the only person with this problem.

    Please advise.

    Thanks in advance,

    Zee

    Hi!

I have the exact same problem, but I have IE7

I have been in contact with Adobe, but they could not help me cause the flash player is a free program..

I searched a lot of forums, and removed the flash player, I also removed the shockwave player

Rebooted the computer, installed the latest version, but it didn't help.

I have been in contact with Zynga aswell, but nothing have helped!

Do you still have the same problem or have you found a solution?

Hi Milla121, Now you are ready to Install Flash Player 10. Here is the link for that.

ActiveX installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax .exe  When this window opens, put this on your DESKTOP, click on "SAVE" ( to your desktop until you are ready to use it)

There are some things you need to do before Installing and they are important.

I am sending an attachment, please read and follow the instructions.

Read it over and if you have any questions please post.

    Hi!

That link didn't work, I got the message " the page could'nt be found"

Is it the same link as on adobes homepage?

    Hello,

I am searching the hole internet for a solution even on the adobe forums there is no correct method for this error.

I have tried every suggestion on this forum.

Clean install, uninstall flash with the adobe uninstaller nothing works.

Why can't the people of adobe give a solution, it realy sucks.

I have checked the add-on in ie8 and there is a shockwave flash object and is enabled.

How long will this go through?

Sorry for my englisch but i am from belgium and there is no info at all in dutch.

I think i am the only one with this problem in belgium.

Hi, tried to answer you earlier, but my computer froze up!

Could you look in Add/Remove and list what of Adobe is there?

Also, list what is in manage add ons?

Also do you have the Google or Yahoo tool bar installed?

    Thanks

    November 18, 2009

    Hello,

In my add/remove there is adobe flash player 10 activeX and adobe flash player 10 plugin.

In my add on there is shockwave flash object adobe PDF - adobe PDF reader and adobe PDF conversion toolbar active.

I dont have both tool bars installed.

thanks for your help it drives me crazy.

    November 16, 2009

Hello, you might want to check in Tools>Manage add ons to see if Shockwave Flash - Flash10c.ocx is ENABLED.

That would be my first suggestion and see if that works. You may have to reboot, not sure if IE8 requires that or not.

Mine was updated on sunday and is now messing up on certain sites.

I've been doing some research and it seems to be happening on everytype of browser and adobe is just ignoring it. After looking at about 50 different sites i have yet to find an answer. This is rediculous that some company can basicly ruin my computer and i have to just sit here and deal with it.

what would happen if i just deleted the Flash10c.ocx file and kept the Flash10b.ocx  ??????/

p.s. I don't know ANYTHING about cpus or what flash is really and it's rediculous i should have to go through all of this reading about registry keys and all that stuff. Make your programs work!

p.s. Type in flash crashes explorer in the search and you'll see tons of people being ignored. Doesn't anyone from the company go on this forum???????

Hello agsdanh, don't pay too much attention to all of the complicated suggestions that people post. Here is my simple suggestion to you:

Start your own thread or look for a thread that closely states the problem you are having, like " I can't install Flash Player 10" you know something simple. If your problem is only about Flash10c.ocx error in IE8, we'll get to that.

Also try reading some of the more simple threads as I mentioned. And keep in mind uninstalling the old version of Flash Player and installing the new version Flash Player 10 is all we are talking about.

We will be glad to help you but this thread is going to be about what this person posted about and it will get confusing for you because the advice on this issue may not pertain to your situation.

    Thanks
