Flashplayer install won't accept username/password

Trying to install Flashplayer on my MAC.  The Adobe site recognizes my username (email) and password.  But when it comes time to install Flashplayer and it asks for username/password, the box just vibrates.  Why does username/password work on the site but won't accept this for the actual install?

Hi adasil,

If you are getting the password window like the screen mentioned below then this is the Username and password for your MAC machine not Adobe. Also as stated by PAT, Flash player do not need any Adobe ID or Password.

If the user Name and Password are not working then you should contact MAC.

Thanks,

Nikhil Gupta.

Nikhil,

THANK You. Great Help. I have been trying to upgrade the Adobe Flash Player including  using  the Adobe chat forum. This has been an ongoing problem for months.. In each case the download did not recognize my password which I had created for Adobe. YOU solved my problem. It was the computer password.

THANKS

Irene

Hi ed wyatt,

If it is not accepting the user name and password of your system, then you should contact MAC once as it is the user name and password for MAC.

You don't need a userid/password to download the free Flash Player.

However, you will need your system's Administrator password to install it.
