Hiya jzimora, I found the regestry hack worked for me. Heres how you do it the safe way...
1. Go to start menu run and enter REGEDIT and press resturn
2. This will start the regestry editor. Goto the file menu and select export and save the regestry as a file, make sure you have Export Range / All selected at the bottom of the save file window. This will save the whole regestry as a file, remember where you save the file... You have now backed up the regestry. Now close the regestry editor

My pc is HP pavilion desktop. I opened "Sound Effect" and found that the enviroment was set to "None". Then I changed it to "Normal", or "bed-room" and so on. then My flash can play sound again.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS sbellct!!!
Your simple solution worked perfect for me. I'm no computer expert and I was getting worried thinking I was going to have to mess with the registry but thanks to you my sound has all been restored. I have been in & out of "Sound Effect Manager" so many times I thought I had tried everything. I have a Gateway and my options were a little different but after trying a few in the list to my delight it actually worked!!! Thanks again.

Well I'll be ............ after months and months of problems with loads of users, this is the one fix that worked on 8 out of 10 systems. I noticed this on my home system when Flash would play through my AUX to wireless outside speakers, but not inside. Phukkkkkk me!
