How do I download Adobe Flash Player on Windows XP?

I've reinstalled a Windows XP computer that HAD Adobe Flash Player on it, then reinstalled Firefox. Only, I could not reinstall Adobe Flash Player! Check Why can't I download Adobe Flash Player on my Windows XP? | Yahoo Answers. There were no error messages, no anything. The installer just plain wouldn't open. I've tried everything. The Adobe Live Chat was no help at all, and I created a Adobe account just to get help. Will someone help me?

What Service Pack, if any, do you have installed on your XP system?

See How to check which Windows XP Service Pack is installed on your computer?

If you don't have Service Pack 3 installed, you'll need to install it, at minimum, for the installer to work. The latest Flash Player installers are signed using SHA-256 signing certificates.  Older versions of XP do not support SHA-256.  The link I posted previous provides more information on this.

Google Chrome and Chromium browsers are two different browsers.  Google embeds Flash Player in Chrome.  Google does not embed Flash Player in Chromium.  Therefore, you would need to install the PPAPI Flash Player plugin for Chromium.

Hi,

This is most likely due to a certificate signing issue.  Windows XP (except for XP with Service Pack 3) is lacking support for the latest signing technologies.  You can try using the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows 7 and earlier page in the 'Still having problems' section, however, there is no guarantee it'll work. See Security Advisory 2880823: Recommendation to discontinue use of SHA-1 - Security Research & Defense - Site Home - TechN… for more information.

This didn't work. Do you know if this has anything to do Microsoft NET.Framework? I also can't open the PPAPI thing. I downloaded Chromium for Windows XP, but I could not find Adobe Flash Player/Shockwave Flash in the menu. I really need Adobe Flash Player on this computer, and I cannot update it. Anyone else have any ideas.
