I keep having trouble installing the adobe flash player, because right as it's starting to download it stops and prompts, "not enough permissions to write disk." What do I do?

Hi rachelleb75063757,

Flash Player installs to restricted areas of the file system and thus requires Admin permissions to install.

What OS is this on?  Is the user ID you are using to install a standard user or an administrator user?

The OS version is 10.10.3, is that the right thing? I didn't know there was a difference, I suppose. It's making me give my computer password to install, so I'm assuming that makes it an Administrator install? But once I put in my comp password, shouldn't that let it install?

Hi XMattrixX,

Thank you for providing the additional files.  I am seeing some failures in the online installer log files (files 3 and 4).  The online installer is handled by a different team and I will forward these to that team for further investigation.  They may ask for more information from you after looking at the log files.

What version of OS X do you have?

Looking at the FlashPlayerInstallManager.log file, the last entry indicates a successful installation on 2015-05-30.  Is Flash Player currently installed on the system and if so, what version?  You can go to Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac and click the 'Check Now' button to see the version installed. If Flash Player is not installed the same Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page contains links (at the bottom of the page) to download to the offline installers that you can try using to install Flash Player.  The offline installer is the full installer and does not download anything in the background.
