I have Flash Player 10 on my work computer and i need to edit some files that are step by step learning tools. What software do I require to edit??

Flash Player is just that... a "Player" only.

To edit FLA, FLV or SWF files, you need Flash Professional (http://www.adobe.com/products/flash.html)

the product my company gave me is Macromedia Flash 8. No good i take it.
