Trying to install Flash ActiveX 10 on a Vista machine. NO GO!!

Question

Using IE7, Vista OS,I've tried to install but keeps coming back with a 3257 error saying FP_AX_INSTALLER.exe ....... I tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  I've used the Adobe uninstaller nothing.  I can't get it to uninstall.  Any ideas to the dilema.  I've got many more machines Exactly like this and had no problem doing the upgrade.  Scratching my head.

Please give the exact error message you receive when trying to install Flash Player. You also don't say why/how you cannot uninstall it.

The uninstaller can be downloaded from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

The offline ActiveX installer is here http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

Make sure that all browser windows are closed when you run the uninstaller / installer (by saving the executables to disk, then run them after the browser is closed).
