Hello Adobe experts out there,
I'm trying to install the newest Flash Player downloaded right here on adobe.com for my IE. And upon launching the setup utility the following error message pops up:
Clicking either YES or NO here would dismiss this error message and the installation process seems to be able to proceed. But this is telling me that something must have gone wrong... Any tips on resolving this issue?
I'm running a 64-bit Windows 7 Professional and IE 11.
Thanks everyone in advance!

Try going here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html
At the bottom of the page there are the OFFLINE installers. Pick the one you need.
Make sure all browsers are closed after you download them
install it
Let try that first please.

Thanks for your response.
That offline installer indeed elicited no such syntax error.
However this only partially solves my problem since the offline installer delivers the 18.00-version Flash Player, which isn't the newest 18.0.0.209 as of this moment.
It appears that the newest version can only be downloaded using the online installer - which would again cause the same syntax error.

I am unsure of what you are referring to. The ones I downloaded from that same link are shown below in the screenshot, and the most current version 209:

Oh wow apparently I was looking at the wrong file as I was typing a reply to you a while ago. Thanks so much my friend - will stick to this offline installer trick from now on
