Install flash player debugger in Windows 10

Hi, I am trying to install flash debugger 18 in Windows 10 which pre-installed windows 18.0.0.209.

When I try to run the installer, flashplayer_18_ax_debug.exe, it prompted message above.

Then I tried both Windows8.1-KB2867622-x64 and Windows8.1-KB2867622-x86, it prompted the following

Seems the both of the installers are not working. I also tried to use uninstaller to make clean install , seems the

flash player cant be uninstalled: Even the uninstaller told uninstall successfully, IE is still able to run flash.

As I need to develop console app which base on active X, I couldn't use projector to debug. What could I do for this ?

Wish Adobe could release debugger for Windows 10 very soon.

Do not attempt to delete those system file or you could be in serious trouble. those are part of the OS now and you cannot install any activeX variant from Adobe PERIOD, they must be packaged from Microsoft.

I am surprised that you are a developer and do not know this already. All the links for ActiveX variant for those OS point back to Microsoft

There are many articles out there about flash player ActiveX and windows 8.X and above.

I am following up on this with Product Management. I'll reply back when I have an update.

And to echo CS's comment, do not delete the embedded Flash Player files as you'll essentially need to re-install windows to get Flash Player back on your system.

I can only debug with firefox now. I can't debug with Edge and IE11.

Hi,

I have received confirmation that at this time Microsoft does not support the debuggers on Windows 10. We do not have an estimate as to when they will support the debuggers, but when they do, the install links will be added to the Adobe Flash Player Support Center page.

hello i encounter a problem with flash player / edge (black screen after loader)

on firefox and chrome, the swf app load normaly.

same swf app works on the same machine using iexplore but not edge...

i am clueless, there are no logs or error when launching this particular app with edge

Most of the major browser block Flash Player from running by default at this point. You may need to enable Flash Player in Edge.
