Hello anybody, I am desparate!

My FrameMaker will not open and the following Error Message appears:

"This application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).

Click OK to close the application.

I have tried everything and this is till popping up. Does anybody know what this means and how to fix it?

Thank you!

David

David, sometimes it helps in this situation to delete (or rename) the „appdata“: %appdata%\adobe\framemaker\14 and restart FrameMaker.

"tried everything" is a bit vague. 😉

This site gives a fairly comprehensive list of things to try. I'd zero in on the .NET update, though, given how Microsoft tends to break things.

Hi David,

I have been there and it was indeed a desperate situation. If you search for "crash", you will find my issue, which was solved by help from Adobe. I think Adobe should help with problems like this for free, because they are often VERY URGENT AND NOT OUR FAULT. I shouted like that hoping that someone over there might hear.
