I know this has been addressed before but I'm on a short break and I can't find the answer...
One of my students is using two screens (the other is a 4K display) and when he clicks the Open menu, the Window menu opens. I remember this being an issue with the resolution on the other screen, but I cannot for the life of me remember what I need to do for him. Does anyone remember off the top of their heads?

Is the second screen an Extend of the main (different content), or is it set up to Duplicate the main?
My main is 1920×1080 (HD), and the second is 3840×2160 (4K); AMD chipset.
I've never seen any FM problems doing this.
This HD to 4K setup curiously and agreeably causes the HD main to mimic 4K via subsampling, which is fine, as I don't use the main when the 4K is available.
Didn't Bill Gates say "4K should be enough for anyone"? 🙄

Tweak the shortcut Properties with that "high resolution/dpi displays" flag?

Thank you both! I need to check in with the student and see what the setup is.

Hi Barb, any time I have menu problems with two screens it is due to a mismatch of scaling. I don't know if it is the problem you are seeing, but it might be worth a look. There is a comment in the following thread about it. BTW, it is from you 🙂

Hi Russ:
Well, that's embarrassing, but I knew when I posted the question that I had some prior knowledge I couldn't access. I'll give this a shot with the student today. 😂

Barb - I suspect you've forgotten more things about FM than I've ever known!

Ha, well no big deal. I had the problem a second time and I had to find my way back to my own post to make my way back to your post just to get the answer again. AI we are not! 🙂
