I am wanting to create cut files in Fresco because drawing in the app with a digital pencil is easier than using the pen function in illustrator. But in importing Fresco drawings to Adobe Illustrator, every line becomes a filled shape/path instead of a stroke. Please add a feature in Fresco to draw in a true stroke form that can be exported to keep the stroke function in Illustrator.

In addition, you could try Illustrator for Ipad which does exactly that. As expected the inter-compatibility between both apps is excellent, the Fresco to Illustrator one still has some limitations (But is not exactly intended to be a full on vector app... Maybe one day!)

I have a Microsoft surface pro and no apple products. Do you know if I can use the drawing a stroke function on my surface pro?

Sorry, I missed that bit, Illustrator is not available as an app (like Illustrator for Ipad is) but since Surfaces act as a real computer, you can use your regular illustrator instead!
see if that helps.

and yes, you'll be able to draw a stroke as you do in illustrator on a desktop.
