I currently use Procreate on my iPad Pro to produce artwork. In order to take my Procreate results to different applications on my iPad, I transfer them as Photoshop .PSD files. Occasionally, I receive .PSD files from clients that I must open and work from/on using non-Adobe apps on my iPad. The .PSD file type is something I've comfortably used in my iPad workflow for several years.
Upon installing Fresco on my iPad, the .PSD file type becomes unavailable for all of the other apps on my iPad. Apparently, the way it's coded tells iPadOS that the .PSD extension is its exclusive domain, and that no other software can open any document of that type. This greatly impacts my ability to get my work done.
When it comes to my workflow and the large number of iPadOS apps that support it vs Fresco and it's nifty animated paint effects, I choose my workflow. Until then, Fresco is simply not an option for my iPad experience.

Hi Default874.
This has to do with the way iOS and file associations work and I have heard of this happening with Affinity Designer but not with other apps (and definitely not with all of them).
A quick question: Does it also happen with Ps for iPad?
Also, if you wouldn't mind sharing which apps this is happening with, it would be extremely helpful. If you don't want to post here, please message us through Fresco's Report A Bug link (App Settings > Help > Support > Report A Bug) or if you no longer have access to that, please message me here by tapping on my name then Send Message.
Thanks for taking the time to post.
Sue.

Since the 2.0.3 update, the Fresco.psd problem exists only withinAffinity Designer and Affinity Photo, the two apps I rely on the most. In those apps, .pad files are not available as an import option. Procreate now is able to have .psd files as an import option. I have no idea if PS for iPad is affected, because that is not an app I use at all. Overall, the mere presence of Fresco on my iPadOS device removes my previously unrestricted ability to use .psd files the way I need to, and that remains a bad thing.

Hi.
I completely understand.
One customer, who posted on this forum a few months ago found a workaround. Just in case it's something that interests you, here's the link to that post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/fresco/psd-files-are-grayed-out-in-affinity-if-fresco-is-installed-io...
