Hello,
I have horrible pen lag on Fresco 5.5.5 and 5.5.0 (I tried downgrading after reading other threads). The lag doesn't occur on Photoshop on the same computer. Also, if I use my finger, fresco doesn't lag. Microsoft Whiteboard also doesn't lag. This is a Fresco issue. I'm running Windows 11 with the latest updates on a 14 core flagship laptop. My input surface is the Huion Kamvas Pro 19.
I have already tried the other troubleshooting steps I could find on other threads, including:
1. Updating graphics drivers (I use the Nvidia Studio driver, not the gaming version)
2. Updating pen tablet drivers
3. Setting smoothing to zero
4. Turning off the "Long press for eyedropper" option
5. Turning off the "Snap to shape" option
Additionally, I reduced as much load on the CPU and graphics card as I could by disconnecting other displays, closing all non-essential programs, removing all non-essential startup programs.
I've made videos of the behavior for Fresco 5.5.0, 5.5.5, and Photoshop:

Hi @jeffh65869656,
Thanks for sharing such detailed troubleshooting steps and recordings—it’s very helpful. To investigate this further, could you please provide the following additional details?
•Your Windows build and version
•System specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM)
•Nvidia Studio Driver version
•Tablet make and model, along with tablet driver version
•Pen specifications (model, generation, anything else)
•Does this happen while using any particular pixel or vector brush?
•Also, does it happen while working on a specific file?
We’ll pass along this information, along with your recordings, to our product team to help with the investigation. Thanks for your patience!
Best,
Anshul Saini

Hello Anshul,
I'm running Windows 11 Pro build 22631.4317
CPU: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900H 2.90 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop
RAM: 64GB
GPU Driver: Studio Driver version 565.90
Tablet: Huion Kamvas 19 Pro, firmware version M220_240115, driver version 15.7.6.1314
Pens:
- Huion Standard Pen PW600
- Huion Slim Pen PW600S
It happens with every brush in Fresco regardless of type or settings. It doesn't happen in other software such as Photoshop or Microsoft Whiteboard. It also doesn't happen in the diagnostic software for the tablet driver. In all other cases, the pen registers as soon as it touches the screen.
It happens in every Fresco file.
Thanks!
Jeff

Hello @newbie_poland,
Sorry for the delayed response. Would you mind confirming if Fresco behaves this way with both old/new files and if behaves this way with all brushes? Also, kindly confirm the OS/Fresco version and share a screen recording of the problem, so I can check it with the team.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello everyone,
I have escalated this to the product team, and they are currently investigating it. To better pinpoint the root cause of the problem, would you mind trying the following steps and share your observations? Your patience and contribution is highly appreciated:
1) Try and perform a clean reinstallation of the tablet drivers (Wacom / Huion / XP-Pen)
2) Try disabling Windows Ink
3) Confirm if this happens with all brushes/files and if there is a difference when using the Pen versus using your finger.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I reinstaled tablet driver.
Then disabled Windows Ink and that's it.
But now instead of input delay I don't have pressure sensivity(Work only when windows ink is on | Enable and disable option in XP-Pen driver app )

@Anubhav M to answer your questions:
1. Yes, both old and new Fresco files have this behavior
2. I have performed all three of the steps in your most recent post and the problem persists. The lag does not occur when I use my finger on the Kamvas Pro 19, and it does not occur in programs other than fresco when using the pen.

I tried an old method of disabling Windows Ink using Group Policy Editor (gpedit) and rebooted. Now when I combine that approach with disabling Windows Ink in the Huion driver settings, the lag is still there, but at least the pen stroke follows the path that I made from the time I pressed the pen on the screen. The correct stroke shows up about a second after I start making it. That is an improvement, but not ideal. As a reminder, the initial behavior was the lag combined with the fact that it would create a straight line between the point at which the pen first hit the screen and wherever Fresco caught up with tracking the stroke (usually about a second after).
