Hi,
I remember until August 2024 Fresco on my iPad Pro was my fav. app for drawing vector drawings, which I easily was sending to Illustrator Desktop.
Now all this is really sketchy. Only Regular Desktop Illustrator directly opens my vector file sent from Fresco. The Beta Version can only open it from Creative Cloud if I first sent the vector file to Illustrator iPad. Anyway.
I somehow managed to find this out and I can now preserve the vector nature of my drawings when sending them to Illustrator iPad and Desktop, because otherwise it was sending them as rasters. Yay.
BUT, my drawing gets cropped when it's beyond the artboard of Fresco and sent to desktop or iPad Illustrator, or when I try to export it as PDF or any other file format really. I tried everything! And I don't remember Fresco having such issue in August 2024 or before. One of the features Fresco has is to draw beyond the artboard with vector brushes.
I can't at all send my vector drawing which is drawn beyond the artboard on Fresco to Illustrator, without being cropped to artboard! Is there any sollution to this?
Why Fresco is so horrible all of a sudden?!
Thanks in advance!
Medea.

Hey Medea and Laura,
I totally hear you—I'm really sorry for the hassle this has been causing. I’m going ahead and raising a ticket with the product team now so they can dig deeper into this. If they have any follow-up questions, we’ll be sure to reach out. And of course, I’ll keep you both in the loop with any updates that come through.
Thanks so much for your patience!
Best,

Thank you Anshul.
By the way, yesterday I also realized Fresco does not open PSD files, but creates such.
For example ProCreate creates and also opens PSD files. Why Fresco can't open a PSD file if it can create such?
Just encountered this yesterday.
Due to Fresco limited functionality nowadays I started moving towards Pro Create. The only reason I still use Fresco now is because of the sharp vector brush really. And the alignments tools.
Thank you for all your help and yes, please keep us updated. I and I believe we are here to provide more info if needed.
Kindest Regards,
Medea.

P.S.
By alignment tools I meant the guides Fresco has for when you align your drawing to the middle of the canvas. It's helpful.

Hey Medea,
Thanks for your thoughtful note, and I totally get where you’re coming from.
Just to clarify, Fresco can open PSD files, but compatibility depends on what’s inside the PSD and which app created it. Some features or layers (like smart objects or effects from Photoshop) might not be supported.
If you’re okay with it, could you please share a sample PSD that isn’t opening in Fresco? Let us know which app it was created in too — we’ll check on our end and try to get to the bottom of it.
I appreciate you sticking with us, and I’ll make sure to keep you in the loop!
Best,
Anshul Saini
