Import pics in Fresco/ Problems with scaling

Dear friends,

I want to import a picture into Fresco.

The import works almost properly. But Fresco tries to adjust the format to the chosen canvas size.

I would like to keep the proportions of the original pic.

Do you know any help for me?

I havenĀ“t found any solution in the standard help files from Adobe.

The pic is jpg file.

Please let me tell you, that I am very new to Fresco and to Adobe in general. (At least, I havenĀ“t practised much, yet).

Thanks for your support.

Matthias

Are you working on a device or desktop version of Fresco?

What I find on the iPad is that the image will fit within either the width or height and adjust the full size accordingly.

On a desktop however it does seem to distort the image as well as turn it sideways.
The only solution I can see for the desktop is to manually then rotate and restretch to the correct proportion.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Yes, I use a desktop (at least almost... it is a Surface Pro 7. Windows 10).

As you describe it: it turns the image sideways and distorts it.

I have tried this already, to rotate the image manually and restretch it.

But actually I donĀ“t find this very satisfying. So I had hoped, there would be a better solution.

Hi Matthias.

I  responded on your other post, https://community.adobe.com/t5/fresco/images-stretch-to-canvas-when-loaded/m-p/12040752#M5081, with the following:

Please message us through Fresco's Report A Bug link (tap the gear icon in the upper corner of the Home screen then App Settings > Help > Support > Report A Bug).

All of your device/app information will automatically populate that email (so make sure to leave that in) but will you also send with that email the original image you're importing and also the canvas dimensions you're using.

No need to repeat all of this other information; I'll match up the content.

Sue.
