Purchased Adobe InDesign CS2 Educational Version around 2006.
Computer Crashed.
Installed the program on my new computer and will not connect to the activation process.
Tried Telephone Activation to no avail!
HOW DO I ACTIVATE THE PROGRAM?
1 Correct answer
Hi,
solution:
Uninstall CS2 version and install a version that does not require activation
"Activation server unavailable" error in Adobe CS2, Acrobat 7, and Audition 3

Uwe,
Does this mean I have to purchase a new version?

Did you read the linked article?
Follow the described steps.
If you are lucky you will be able to install that special CS2 version on your operating system.
No activation necessary. No purchase necessary.

Uwe,
Everything went well until I came up with ERROR 1303
"Log on as administrator"
I am the administrator.

Be aware user account with admin rights is not the same as built-in administrator account (which is usually hidden).
FWIW, How To Login As Administrator In Windows 10
or check Google for something similar for your actual OS.

After all this searching links, Windows is now telling me I have 5
Viruses on my computer.
Ran Webroot with negative results?

FWIW, Windows as an OS couldn't do that. Do you mean a built-in antivirus Windows Defender? (Since you still didn't specify your OS I assume you're using Win10). Anyway, this is completely separate issue and out of scope of this forum.

From the linked article: "Adobe no longer supports CS2 applications, which were released in 2005. Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software."
That's 14 years ago. If you're serious about using the program, I would strongly suggest updating to something newer.

Yeah, definitely out-of-date, you need new software to go with your new hardware!

If you have a new computer it is impossible to run CS2 now. You have to upgrade to a CC Subscription version.

Willi,
Thank you for your reply.
I installed InDesign CS2 and everything worked just fine.
Problem was that I could not Activate the program so after 30 days I
could not use it.
Perhaps I will just have to uninstall it after 30 days and then
reinstall it for another 30 days.

Unless you're running Windows XP, chances are not good that you'll get this installed and running properly. The chances decrease with 64 bit operating systems, as well.
There is no activation for CS2.

I have the exact same problem...
What is the direct link to the InDesign CS2 version that does not require activation?

AFAIK, those links have been removed. You'll need to contact Adobe directly.
Good luck.

Adobe has completely removed all links to any version of CS2
I have read other messages that people who own the old CS2 serial number have been able to contact support to be given a link to the special non-activation version of CS3 after proving ownership of CS2
Go to https://www.adobe.com/about-adobe/contact.html
-click on the Chat bot on the bottom right hand corner of the first screen
--the chat bot is the circle with a funny looking box with 3 dots inside
-click on Downloading or Installing, then type Agent
Do NOT let the support agent tell you to come to the forums for help... no user in a public forum has access to Adobe's internal links, you MUST obtain the program and update links from Adobe support
AND when you finally do have a download link, be sure to copy every file you download to an external drive (or 2 or 3) so you never have to hunt for download links if they are moved again... also make a text file containing ALL of your serial numbers and copy that file as well
For anyone else reading this
Never post private information on a public forum... including your actual email address or phone number
Scammers try to steal serial numbers and other private information by posing as Adobe employees... Never give your private information to someone who contacts you via PM (Private Message) or email until you are sure that person is an Adobe employee (see next)
When an employee asks for information (identified by a STAFF badge where my ACP badge shows) hover your mouse over their name and then click the Message option in the popup window to send a private email
Adobe does not use Skype... if someone asks you to talk to them via Skype to "help" you, immediately report their Adobe ID in https://forums.adobe.com/community/forumhelp/forum_comments/content so the person may be banned from the forums
