Adobe PSE 13 Download

Community Beginner ,
Oct 21, 2014 Oct 21, 2014

I purchased Adobe PSE 13 and have down-loaded two files into my Downloads

File. I created a new folder called Photoshop Elements 13 in the Downloads

File and have these two files in the same folder:

Adobe PSE 13 - LS25 - win 64.exe

Adobe PSE 13 - LS25 - win 64-1.7z

When I double click on the extractor file (Adobe PSE 13 - LS25 -win 64.exe)

and hit "RUN" I get the following message:

"The file archive part of Adobe Photoshop 13 is missing. You need all parts

in the same folder to extract Adobe Photoshop 13. Please download all

parts."

I have tried downloading the Extractor File from Adobe in my Fire-Fox

browser using the Adobe "Download Option" and the Adobe "Download Manager

Option" ... Neither has worked to extract the files from the PSE win64-1

7zip file.

What do I do now? Please help!!!

double check that you have a complete 7z file by looking at its file size.

if you think all's well, attach a screen shot showing the exe and 7z files with their sizes on your computer.

I attached a screen shot in the last reply of the files I downloaded from Adobe but the actual file size was not accurate because the shot I took was of the Download Screen on Firefox. The actual download sizes listed under Properties' of each file are:

PSE 13 - LS25 -win64.exe ... 1.46 MB (1,541,112 bytes)

PSE 13 -LS25 - Win64.1.7z ....1.57 GB (1,694,060,544 bytes)

Both files look to be complete.

Question:

Can the free Winzip download and install PSE 13? ...Akamai Download Manager (PSE 13 - LS25 -win64.exe will not extract and install the download

Thank you so much for pointing out that the file had the wrong extension. As you can tell from the screen shots I sent yesterday, this is the way the file was received from Adobe so please let Adobe and others know about the error. After I renamed the file to the correct name and double clicked on the extractor file the files began to download. I am now at the 'Sign In' part of the process. Thank you so much for your help.

Note about renaming the file: When changing the name the file appeared in the folder as PSE 13 -LS25 - Win64.1.7z . . .

When I removed the 1.7z and made it to appear PSE 13 -LS25 - Win64.1.7z in the folder the file would still not open. When I double-clicked on the extractor file the message came up that it was unable to open PSE 13 -LS25 - Win64.7z.7z .

I then renamed the file (as it appears in the folder) PSE 13 -LS25 - Win64 and the file opened when I double-clicked on the extractor file. The file has opened now but it still appears with the name PSE 13 -LS25 - Win64 when viewed in the folder. When being extracted it appears as

PSE 13 -LS25 - Win64.1.7z.

Hope this will help anyone else who runs into this problem with installing

the software after downloading.
