Diego when you get done formatting your computer, and reinstalling macOS Sierra (10.12), then please see Installing Creative Suite on macOS 10.12 (Sierra)  for details on how to resolve this installation error for Creative Suite 5.

When you ask a question you need to provide some basic information

-Forum quick start https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-5601

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

Exactly which version of the program do you have that is causing problems?

One thing I did not see...what version of PS and AI are you trying to install? CS3? CS5?

Are you using your discs to install?

Did you tried installing Adobe Application Manager ?

You are getting same error ?

If , yes,  try from Root user account .

You can enable it for testing and later you can disable.

  • From Spotlight search and  launch “Directory Utility”
  • Click on the “Padlock” at the bottom left corner, you then need to enter your admin password to unlock.
  • Drop down the “Edit menu” and select “Enable Root User”.
  • You then will  be asked for the root password twice.
  • Done! The Root user is enabled on your Mac

Yes, you can install via Root user account .

Once the installation process is completed , you can disable Root user account and use the apps from your regular user account .

Here is a link to the CS5 installer. If CS5 is an upgrade from CS4, then input the CS5 serial number, select CS4 as the qualifying product and enter the CS4 serial number.

No, hopefully you don't have to format yet.

I cannot honestly say. I cannot upgrade past 10.11 myself. Maybe someone here can say or you can ask in the Apple Support forums.

I do not know if you upgraded from an earlier OSX or 10.12 came with your computer.

If everything worked with an earlier OSX, you might roll back to 10.11

Use Time Machine and an external drive to back up your old programs and data.

Hi Diego,

Have you installed any other Adobe apps and are they working fine ?

Also , did you tried to install the apps via Safeboot mode ?

We cannot say that the issue will get resolved after formatting. If the issue is due to some conflict with certain files or folder  , I can say yes it will resolve post re-formatting.

However , if the issue is due to incompatibility of apps with Mac OS , that's different story .

Anyhow , let me know if you had installed any other Adobe apps. We can try performing complete clean manual of Adobe apps , files and folders and start from scratch.

I already had PS and AI installed on the MAC, but it gave me a problem, I unplugged and installed again, but I can not install, only from the error.

I believe that formatting will solve my problem. I'm already backing up, so I'll end up formatting.

Thank you all for your help.

Thank you very much.
