Applying previous Metadata from Extensis Portfolio into same photos via new Adobe Bridge

Previously, our company used Extensis Portfolio to organize and key-word our photos. We have a massive photo database of over 30k photos that have all been keyworded. However, we are switching our database to Adobe Bridge (or at least planning to if this will work). We have extracted our previous metadata files (.fdb). Now, we are wondering if it is possible to apply our many keywords / metadata we've worked so hard on, to appear in Adobe Bridge with our photos, so we are not re-doing any key-wording (which would take years).

I was told by Extensis support that this is indeed possible, but that Adobe would have to help apply the keywords back onto our photos.

Thank you.
