Why is it when I go to the download page for After Effects Trial it always says that they're experiencing issues so I can't see the download page?

Hi 0h_Snap,

If you decide you do want to try After Effects, make sure your computer meets the requirements: After Effects System Requirements for Mac OS and Windows. In particular, if you are using a Windows machine, it needs to be 64 bit.

Assuming your computer meets the requirements, you can try accessing the download page using a different browser.

Alternatively, install the trial via the Creative Cloud desktop app instead of by direct download. See Creative Cloud for desktopand Download, install, update, or uninstall appsfor instructions on installing and using the desktop app. Please note that if your computer does not meet the system requirements for a particular program, that program will not show up in the list of available downloads.

If you have further questions, don't hesitate to post a reply to this discussion.

I don't know who you are, Del Z, but this is not a correct answer.

The correct answer must include commentary on how ridiculous it is that Adobe's website responds with:

"We're experiencing issues..."

When you're suggesting it's the users fault.

That's either disingenuous, or untrue.

Which is it?

Hi Dissidently,

When people see the the "We're experiencing issues" message when trying to download from the AfterEffects page, it is usually because their computer doesn't meet the system requirements (such as having a 64 bit processor). I'm sorry this answer does not meet your expectations. I agree that the error message is misleading, and our engineering team has been made aware of the issue. If you would like to provide additional feedback to Adobe, you can fill out a Feature Request/Bug Report Form.

Beyond that, if 0h_Snap— the original poster—still has questions about why the AfterEffects download is inaccessible, they will hopefully reply.

Probably because the universe is offering you a second chance to rethink your desire to use AE.

Head over to google, see if you can find an alternative that's downloadable. Try learning that for a while, then figure out if you want/need/desire what AE has to offer.

btw, there's an alternative called Fusion 8 that's free, and in beta state, which is more advanced (in terms of polish and readiness for market) than AE 2015. Give it a try. Interesting paradigms of operation. But fast.
