Can't Update Creative Cloud, but can't uninstall it..Please help!

So I was trying to update CC so that I could reinstall Photoshop, but I got Error 85 and it stopped loading at 43% during the installation.

So I searched it up in the forums here and was going to uninstall CC, reinstall, and run the Adobe cleaner or whatever it's called as per suggested. Unfortunately, my computer won't let me uninstall CC because photoshop is still installed but I can't uninstall Photoshop since it wants to uninstall the app through CC and as soon as CC opens, it wants to update, but can't.

I'm in a loop and don't quite know what to do next.

Would I be able to go into the system files and just delete Photoshop and its files manually? Is that even a thing I could do?

Please help!

Hi Kassandra, sorry that's giving you difficulty. Try the following instructions to uninstall and reinstall the Desktop app:

Uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application

Please let us know if that helped! If not, there should be other steps we can try.

I was able to go around this problem.

First I uninstalled CC Desktop App with uninstaller. Then I could install Lightroom Classic with Lightroom installer.

After this I was unable to install Photoshop with Desktop App so I uninstalled Desktop App again and installed Photoshop with Photoshop installer.

Now I got both working and Desktop App is no more trying to update itself.
