Not sure what to do. I tried reinstalling CC but nothing changed. I can still use InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, but I can't download anything new or see if I have updates available.

Correct answer MLeister

if it's install click or double click it.  does it start?

No, that was the problem. It wasn't launching no matter what approach I tried.

I got Adobe support to help me, they had me use a tool they provided to wipe all the CC files on my computer and do a clean install. It works fine now. Thanks for your help.

is it installed?  if you have windows check, C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe

if yes, start it and check your preferences if you want it to start when win starts.

if it's not installed, log in to your cc account and download something to download and install the app, https://creative.adobe.com/

I'm having the same problem now.  The new update for the Creative Cloud wasn't working so I opened the app as a window to keep an eye on the installing.  I accidentally closed the window so the Creative Cloud desktop app logo disappeared from my desktop toolbar.  I've tried to get it back by opening my creative cloud app in my applications folder, but it wouldn't open.  Now I have no way of knowing if the updating has stopped or not.  What should I do?
