We just have to delete one file i.e., either "adobeupdaterprefs.dat" or "adobeupdateradminprefs.dat" inside the AAMupdater folder.

If  adminprefs file is available delete that and leave normal updaterprefs.dat , if only updaterprefs.dat is there, delete that

Windows :- c:/users/username/appdata(hidden folder)/local/adobe/AAMupdater/1.0/

MAC - check in both /library or ~/library and location is application support/adobe/AAMupdater/1.0/

In 301 error , it works everytime, please try this
