Does anyone have a serial key for Dreamweaver CS3? I've upgraded my computer to Win 8.1 and need to reinstall but can't find my original key?

I have recently upgraded my computer from Vista to Windows 8.1.  It was necessary for me to do a clean install of Windows which made it necessary for me to have to reinstall all of the programs.  I had Dreamweaver CS5 on the computer which had been upgraded from CS3.  I reinstalled the CS3 and then tried to reinstalled the CS5 but get the message that I did not a valid installation for the CS5 to upgrade.  I seem to remember that there was a problem similar when I initially installed the upgrade and called support to help me resolve.  Any suggestions as to how to resolve this?

There is not much anyone in the forums can do for you.  You need the serial number that you received when you purchased the CS3 software.  You might be able to find it in your Adobe account online if you ever registered the software.  You can try contacting Adobe Support thru chat to see if they can help, but these days they are denying some aspects of support for older products.

Chat support - For the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...

I tried the chat and the best they could offer was to post this message in the forum.  Thanks.

Hi Joseph, was the serial number registered? I know it was a long time ago, but feel free to PM me any email addresses that may have been used to register it and I'll run some searches in our database.

Joseph,

Dreamweaver CS3 was designed to be used on Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (certified for 32-bit editions). Because it is a much older product designed to work on older operating systems, it is unlikely that it will run on the computer you upgraded to Windows 8.  Please see the Dreamweaver tech specs here:https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/system-requirements.html.

Pattie-F - The issue is not compatibility.  Even the CS3 is actually working on the machine and is fully functional even though the upgrade doesn't recognize it.  The CS5 also ran on the machine when I attempted to install it.  The installation recognized the serial key for the CS5 but not the fact that there was a version of CS3 running on the machine.
