I receive "Error code: 72" when attempting to install ACC on Windows 7; what does the code mean, and what is the solution?

Thanks!

Correct answer mrwidde

Running the installer as an Administrator worked for me.

Rightclick the installer -> "Run as Administrator"

Disable your antivirus programs (my is free AVG) and run as administrator. That seems to have done the trick for me, as I was getting cut off at the 2-3% mark. Now I am at a slow 16%.... I could send this after it works completely...but I am not patient. Give it a try.

There was an issue with a Cert not being installed during installation which would cause it to fail. If you go to Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application you will see errors with a hyper link of the Cert it is attempting to install. If you click on the hyper link and install the cert your self and then run the Adobe install after, the installation finishes with out an issue.

Several solutions have been posted. Here is what I found with Google:

"Failed to install" error received when installing Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app

Creative Cloud update not working Error Code: 72

Please try these two links and post back if you are successful or not so that others who see this later will know.
