ERROR: Media DB Error : 12

When attempting to download and install Photoshop CC (2014) via the Adobe creative cloud installer I get an error reading "ERROR: Media DB Error : 12"

This is consistent on both of my computers. I currently use my old copy of PS CS4 from the creative suite package I picked up years ago (2007 I think?). I have tried fully un-installing this software, as well as all adobe software before re-installing Creative cloud and trying to download PS CC. I still always get the same error. My main work computer is running windows 8-64 bit and my print computer is running Windows 7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alex this error typically indicates a corrupted file or folder is preventing the installation from occurring.  Have you completely removed all Adobe Creative software titles from both computers?  If so then I would recommend also using the CC Cleaner Tool to ensure complete removal.  You can find details on how to use the CC Cleaner Tool at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6.

Once Creative Suite 4 and any Creative Cloud versions are removed of the software then please reinstall Photoshop CC 2014 using the process listed in Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps.
