ERROR: Media DB Error : 12

Question

When attempting to download and install Photoshop CC (2014) via the Adobe creative cloud installer I get an error reading "ERROR: Media DB Error : 12"

This is consistent on both of my computers. I currently use my old copy of PS CS4 from the creative suite package I picked up years ago (2007 I think?). I have tried fully un-installing this software, as well as all adobe software before re-installing Creative cloud and trying to download PS CC. I still always get the same error. My main work computer is running windows 8-64 bit and my print computer is running Windows 7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alex this error typically indicates a corrupted file or folder is preventing the installation from occurring. Have you completely removed all Adobe Creative software titles from both computers? If so then I would recommend also using the CC Cleaner Tool to ensure complete removal. Once Creative Suite 4 and any Creative Cloud versions are removed of the software then please reinstall Photoshop CC 2014 using the process listed in Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps.
