m2.  I also have a Dell windows 10.  any correlation??

I have had the same issue for some months now, but finally cracked it. I set Chrome to be my default browser (Windows 10 seems to default to Microsoft Edge) and uninstalled a program call Mal Bytesize defender which came pre packeaged with my Dell. I uninstalled all Adobe programs I'd previously downloaded, then downloaded the Creative Cloud Desktop App, and downloaded Photoshop CC and Lightroom through this App. Doesn't seem to be any further issues.

THE ONLY THING THAT WORKED was downloading each program directly from this page: Download Creative Cloud apps

None of the other suggestions helped me. I don't have an anti-malware program installed like Mal Bytesize or something like that. I've disabled firewalls and tried whatever else has been suggested, but glad I found the download page.

Hope that helps someone.

To everyone who is still encountering the P204 issue when installing any Adobe product (full version, or trial), if your system has ByteFence installed - then uninstall it completely, reboot, and then your error message should go away when you try to install Adobe. Hopefully this will help some of you. PAYBACK aleezas25432899 ZUFAZELA89

I had just re-installed Windows 10 on my Windows 7 computer and Adobe Ps & Lr would not install. Kept getting the P204 error code. I found that ByteFence Anti-malware was bundled with the Windows 10 upgrade. By uninstalling Bytefence, Adobe C.C. was now able to be loaded without problem.  Good Luck!

I had the same problem while trying to install the trial version for Adobe Illustrator CC but i solved it. I uninstalled my computer's anti-virus software. Its name was Bytefence Anti-Malware. It was definitely causing some kind of interference during the installation process because Illustrator downloaded without any problem afterwards. I will suggest you try to uninstall your ani-virus program too because it worked for me.

        Hope I helped

Jeff I've tried all the steps you recommend, and have also used the Adobe Cleaner app, but I can't shake the p204 error. I'm trying to download Photoshop to a Dell PC running Windows 10. And please, what does a p204 error mean/indicate? Apparently many other people have the same problem, and it isn't going away. I've been trying to solve this for 2 weeks. What can I do?

              Branching to a new discussion.

Vipm73400272 can you confirm that you are receiving error p204?  When are you receiving this error?  Which Adobe software are you installing?  For details on how to resolve download errors ,for Creative Cloud applications, see Error downloading or updating Adobe Creative Cloud apps.

If you have any questions regarding the steps in the document you are welcome to update this discussion.

Cathyc38278466 what error messages are you seeing in the DLM.log file?  Do you encounter the same error if you begin the installation process through the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application as described in Download and install Creative Cloud apps?
